RAC Western Australia, a membership organisation serving more than 1 million Western Australians, needed a modern, mobile-responsive web platform that could deliver personalization and post-transaction recommendations to reduce high exit rates and boost upsell/cross-sell. Following a digital transformation review, RAC selected Sitecore and the Sitecore Experience Platform to provide personalization, mobility and integration with Microsoft Azure machine learning.
Sitecore, integrated with Microsoft Azure Machine Learning, powered a recommendation engine on rac.com.au that personalized the “thank you” and other post-transaction pages. Within six months the Sitecore-led solution produced measurable gains: a 4% reduction in exit rate (improved retention), 10% increase in time on site, 5% more pages viewed, a 62% increase in motor insurance quotes and a 44% increase in home insurance quotes, alongside lower marketing expenditure.
