Monarch Airlines improved sales conversion by helping customers easily find their perfect flight through a great user experience

Monarch Airlines, a UK leisure carrier, needed to replace a rigid, “one-size-fits-all” website that prevented non-technical staff from updating content and could not deliver personalized offers. Monarch selected Sitecore (Sitecore Customer Experience Platform / Sitecore 6.5 CMS and DMS) to enable a personalised digital experience driven by visitor data such as location, search and booking activity.

Sitecore (implemented with partner Codehouse) delivered real-time personalisation across the homepage, flight pages and offers, integrated with Monarch’s Navitaire booking system to enable upsell. Since launch in March 2013 Monarch has seen a 5% increase in sales conversions (against a 2% target), an average passenger spend rise of £1.64 on seats and ancillaries, faster content changes (from weeks to almost immediate) and higher-quality traffic into the booking funnel.
