Michigan State University attracts 200% more interested students using Sitecore’s CMS

Michigan State University needed to unify a fragmented digital ecosystem spread across hundreds of independently managed websites, which was creating inconsistent user experiences and making it harder to engage prospective students. Working with Sitecore and its CMS, the university set out to modernize its online presence, improve collaboration across colleges and departments, and deliver a more cohesive, scalable experience.

Sitecore implemented a centralized, cloud-native, headless digital experience platform with reusable templates, shared governance, and DAM integration to migrate more than 100 sites. The results included a 200% increase in requests for information, 20% more virtual tour sign-ups, 44% better SEO visibility, and a projected 60% cost savings, while also improving operational efficiency and enabling faster site launches.
