Case Study: Canon achieves a stable, searchable intranet and better employee engagement with Sitecore

A Sitecore Case Study

Preview of the Canon Case Study

Making it easier for staff to share current and relevant information

Canon, a global leader in imaging, needed a redesigned intranet for its Australia and New Zealand staff to fix an aging, unsupported system that made it hard to find information, left out-of-date content online, lacked clear governance and posed a risk of failure. To meet goals around usability, security and reduced maintenance, Canon selected Sitecore and its CMS (implemented with web agency BlueArc) to replace the legacy platform.

Sitecore was implemented as an out-of-the-box CMS in a two‑phase rollout (Core Intranet then Applications), stabilizing the environment with supported technology and simplifying upgrades and management. As a result, Canon achieved improved information architecture and search-driven findability, greater intranet usability and personalization, reduced operational risk and easier content governance — outcomes employees report as faster access to relevant information and a more engaging intranet.
