Children’s Hospital Association faced the challenge of unifying two merged organizations’ legacy websites and multiple email tools to serve diverse audiences from clinicians to the public, capture user data for personalization, and integrate CRM-driven security and profiles. To address this, CHA partnered with EPAM and selected Sitecore® Experience Platform (XP) with Sitecore® Experience Database (xDB) and Sitecore® Email Experience Manager (EXM) to replace disparate systems and centralize content, personalization, and email management.
Using Sitecore products, the team built a single portal with SSO tied to Microsoft Dynamics CRM, personalized content based on user roles, and migrated newsletters into EXM—streamlining email processes and freeing staff time. The Sitecore implementation delivered measurable impact: 61% year‑over‑year page‑view growth, a rise in active user accounts to over 11,000 by end of 2016, return visitors up from 32% to 44%, and newsletter increases of 168% and 295% for key publications, plus clear cost and efficiency gains in email management.
