A Sitecore Case Study
The Stroke Foundation, a Melbourne-based not‑for‑profit dedicated to saving lives and supporting stroke survivors, needed to overhaul its digital presence so survivors, carers and health professionals could access tailored recovery information. National Manager of Digital Ian Stewart led a strategy to build three sites (the organisation site, enableme for survivors and InformMe for clinicians) on a single, flexible platform to deliver personalised, accessible experiences. The Foundation selected Sitecore (Sitecore Experience Platform / Sitecore 8.1) to meet these needs.
Using Sitecore 8.1 with Sitecore Web Forms for Marketers and Sitecore Email Experience Manager, the team delivered highly personalised, accessibility‑focused sites (enableme launched June 2015) that let users customise settings for vision, communication and mobility needs. The Sitecore solution helped drive measurable engagement: enableme gained more than 2,000 users without a national campaign, achieved a 1-in-10 signup rate (vs. a 1-in-20 KPI), recorded over 1,100 user-generated entries and more than 110,000 page views with ~40% returning visitors; enableme also won an AIMIA award, and Sitecore continues to provide the flexibility for ongoing improvements.
