How Perpetual transformed its website

Perpetual, an ASX‑listed wealth manager founded in 1883 with around 800 employees, needed a digital transformation to better reflect its trusted brand and reach target audiences. Despite strong content, its previous site was slow, had inefficient internal workflows, and couldn’t present complex fund data in a simple, attractive way. Perpetual selected Sitecore (Sitecore 8.0 / Sitecore® Experience Platform™) to address performance, personalization and integration requirements.

Sitecore delivered a new responsive site hosted on Microsoft Azure, integrated with Perpetual’s funds data via a funds API and supported by MongoDB for analytics, enabling richer content publishing and interactive fund performance visuals. The results were significant: average session duration rose 78% (now over 4 minutes), overall bounce rate fell 72% (mobile bounce improved 39%, tablet 32%), email-driven users increased 67%, social followers and engagement grew (10% Twitter/LinkedIn in one quarter, 30% social followers and 63% engagement within six months), and the website now generates leads—especially for Financial Advice. Sitecore’s platform also allowed Perpetual to scale content output and better showcase its expertise.
