Global manufacturer Nidec boosts productivity, unifies web properties, and simplifies navigation for its Appliance, Commercial and Industrial Motors division

Nidec’s Appliance, Commercial and Industrial Motors division (Nidec ACIM) struggled with rapid growth and acquisitions that left it managing a network of legacy websites, hard‑to‑find product information, and inconsistent navigation across brands and regions. To consolidate brand sites, support 12 languages, and simplify administration, Nidec selected Sitecore — specifically the Sitecore Experience Platform (XP) and xDB capabilities — to create a single, unified web experience while preserving individual brand identities.

With Layer One Media as implementation partner, Nidec migrated content from aging systems into Sitecore XP/xDB, building three major solution areas, over 30 industry pages, global governance, and regional editing rights. The Sitecore solution delivered faster page creation (30 pages reproduced in half a day), easier administration, multilingual reuse of content, new product and distributor locators, and real‑time inquiry features — driving increased staff productivity, lower operating costs, and a unified platform expected to boost web traffic and cross‑sell opportunities.
