Energy company creates consistent online presence across its many brands

innogy SE, a large energy company operating brands such as Essent and energiedirect.nl, faced a fragmented digital landscape with many separate websites and individual “My environment” customer portals. To standardize its multi‑brand, multi‑channel presence and improve agility, innogy SE selected Sitecore and adopted Sitecore JavaScript Services (JSS) as the technical foundation for a headless, JavaScript-driven approach.

Sitecore implemented a centralized Sitecore JSS headless platform (with partner Valtech and Sitecore support), beginning with the Regelneef app and an employee knowledge base and rolling out website sections thereafter. The Sitecore solution delivered one central CMS, client‑side rendering that reduces data‑centre load, better use of internal JavaScript/Angular skills, faster responsiveness across channels, and improved personalization—building on prior Sitecore work that showed substantial conversion increases.
