Covington & Burling, a global law firm, needed to align website journeys with business and marketing plans, create an industry/sector engagement strategy, improve news relevance, increase visibility outside the U.S., and implement sector engagement analytics. To address these challenges they worked with Sitecore, deploying Sitecore Experience Platform (XP 9.2) and Sitecore Analytics to better surface relevant content and measure sector-based engagement.

Using Sitecore (integrated with Tableau and implemented with partner support), the firm built profiles, Profile Keys and a Digital Relevancy Map to personalize and optimize content. The Sitecore solution doubled average visit duration to 6–7 minutes (with personalized insights averaging 15 minutes), raised visits to toolkits/content hubs by 42%, insights by 51% and tech sector content by 93%, expanded subscriptions by 115%, and grew outside‑U.S. tech sector page views by 37%, while increasing overall engagement value and value per visit.
