CNV Vakmensen, the Dutch trade union for the construction, transport and food industries, faced the challenge of acquiring new members, better serving existing members with online tools, and providing valuable information to non-members. Together with partner theFactor.e they selected Sitecore (Sitecore 8 with WeBlog and Web Forms for Marketers, plus integrations like Telligent and dedicated mobile apps) as the foundation for a personalized multichannel strategy.

Using Sitecore the team delivered a new website, MyCNV member portal, blogs, focused microsites and apps (e.g., Vorstverlet and Koffiegeld) and a community platform, rolled out via SCRUM. The Sitecore-based solution more than doubled site visitors, drove 120% more online registrations, produced 230% more CLA downloads, brought 20% of new members under 25, hit the 1,000‑member target ahead of schedule, and enabled over 30,000 members to update income data—substantially reducing churn and improving member engagement.
