Bog & idé’s e-commerce is an open book for future market share

Bog & idé, Denmark’s largest bookstore chain, was losing online market share because slow pages and disconnected services produced a poor omnichannel customer experience. To modernize its digital storefront and unify content and commerce, Bog & idé engaged Sitecore (with partner Impact) and implemented Sitecore Experience Platform (XP) along with Sitecore Experience Commerce, xDB and XM to integrate online catalog, personalization and commerce capabilities.

Using Sitecore, Impact integrated front-end, payments, fulfillment, PIM and ERP to deliver a mobile‑optimized omnichannel site with over 1 million products, same‑day delivery in much of Denmark, and seamless buy‑online/pick‑up‑in‑store. Measurable results include online sales doubling, revenue +63%, transactions +67%, sessions +32%, conversions +27%, return on ad spend +607%, a 287% lift in online‑to‑offline contribution margin, half of orders now via mobile, 70% in‑store pickups and an NPS of 58—outcomes driven by the Sitecore solution.
