Miltenyi Biotec, a global biotechnology company headquartered near Cologne, chose Sitecore to replace a slow, hard-to-navigate website that lacked reliable search and country-specific pricing. The company needed a modern customer experience platform (Sitecore Experience CMS and e‑commerce services) with geolocation, IP recognition, and an easier way to maintain and present product and pricing information across multiple countries and customer types.
Sitecore implemented a complete relaunch—new design, Sitecore Experience CMS, e‑commerce services, Lucene search, GEO IP, and integrations with Miltenyi’s Viamedici PIM and SAP CRM—plus a 14‑attribute product finder and multilingual support for 78 locations. As a result, Miltenyi Biotec now lists more than 5,000 products (adding ~100/month) and within six months saw significant increases in website registrations, online order volume, and sales revenue versus the prior year; the company is also using Sitecore’s Digital Marketing System to drive further engagement.
