BHP, the global energy company, needed a dedicated Chinese-language website to support a new brand campaign in a critical and growing market. Facing multi-region stakeholder coordination (Perth, Melbourne, Shanghai, Singapore), a short deadline and the risk of a low-fidelity static copy of its international site, BHP engaged Sitecore (using Sitecore Experience Platform XP 9.1, Sitecore Experience Manager and Sitecore translation) to build a localized, sustainable solution.

Sitecore implemented a cloud-integrated solution (including Microsoft Azure SaaS/PaaS) that enabled faster content updates, reduced dependence on IT, and repurposed existing materials via Sitecore translation. The new site launched in just eight weeks, improved digital marketing and content management, saved significant time on translation and deployment, increased speed to market, and established a template for redeveloping BHP’s global online presence.
