Belgian health insurer OZ sees a 40% increase in online customers and reaches its annual sales target in just six months

OZ, a top-10 mutual health insurer in Belgium serving 415,000 customers in Flanders and part of MLOZ, needed a more personalized, stable and easier-to-manage digital portal. Its existing Mijn OZ site could not personalize content, ran separately from the main website, averaged only 89% uptime, and required IT intervention for updates—while regulatory and compliance requirements added further constraints—so OZ selected Sitecore (Sitecore Experience Platform) to address these needs.

OZ implemented the Sitecore Experience Platform (with the Wildcard Module) and integrated it with OZ and MLOZ back-end services, enabling role-based security, multilingual templates, personalized content and PDFs, and giving the e-business team control without IT. The Sitecore solution delivered measurable results: OZ reached its annual sales target in six months; online customers rose 40%; site visits doubled to ~180,000/month (100% increase); digital documents distributed increased 150% to 25,000/month; active users grew 20% to over 100,000; uptime improved to 99.9%; average visit length rose 6%; and call-center demand fell.
