Beauty products company extends mobile reach with headless implementation

Oriflame, the global beauty company with more than 3 million independent consultants in 60+ countries, needed a modern mobile experience to enter China where consumers expect deep WeChat and Alipay integration and strong social sharing. Its five‑year‑old responsive site no longer met local UX needs, so Oriflame engaged Sitecore—leveraging Sitecore Experience Platform (XP), a headless delivery approach and Sitecore JavaScript Services—to build a solution tailored to China’s mobile and chat habits.

Sitecore implemented a headless architecture and helped Oriflame deliver a native WeChat‑integrated app that retained Sitecore personalization and analytics, enabled marketers to “create once, deploy everywhere” via the Experience Editor, and supported social sharing and Alipay integration. The result was faster time to market (the app launched ahead of schedule), improved performance and targeting versus the old responsive site, and greater control, precision and speed integrating with China’s technology ecosystem.
