Baptist Health’s new physician portal on Sitecore streamlines information access

Baptist Health, a faith‑based health system in Northeast Florida with five hospitals and 1,400+ physicians, needed a one‑stop physician portal to replace a basic HTML page of links that lacked integration with its clinical catalog and medical library and required developer support for content changes. To address this, Baptist Health engaged Sitecore as the vendor, leveraging Sitecore Experience Platform (XP) and related products to create a modern, mobile‑first communications hub.

Sitecore, via partner Element Blue, implemented a new portal built on Sitecore XP (with xDB, EXM, Web Forms for Marketers and the Active Directory module) and integrated MEDLINE and internal forms, delivering personalized Task Manager, Application Catalog and Physicians Corner functionality. The Sitecore solution improved searchability and personalization, enabled content edits without developers, increased physician engagement and satisfaction, and drove higher traffic—now 1,200+ daily visits—with measurable gains in clinical efficiency and positive user feedback.
