Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) launches website with custom online services for three different groups based on Sitecore

The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) needed to launch new websites for itself and the National Boards to support a nation‑wide registration scheme, delivering custom online services for three audiences (health practitioners, employers and the public) including secure online registration renewals, applications, bulk employee checks and public registers. AHPRA faced a tight deadline, large volumes of content and the requirement that a small team manage multiple uniquely branded sites, so it selected Sitecore and the Sitecore CMS as the vendor solution.

Sitecore delivered a scalable Web Content Management platform with portal and marketing tools, integrated with AHPRA’s registration system, payment gateway, EDRMS and analytics, and provided user‑friendly content publishing for a small national team. The Sitecore implementation has handled an average 664,000 visitors per month and up to 750,000 public‑register searches monthly, supported Australia’s largest simultaneous renewal (more than 92% completed online in May 2011) with no performance issues, and allowed AHPRA to add sites, upgrade the CMS and centralize management of all boards.
