A Sitecore Case Study

Preview of the Amsterdam Marketing Case Study

Amsterdam Marketing provides citymarketing services for the Amsterdam region for a broad target range: residents, businesses, expats and tourists

Amsterdam Marketing, the organization behind iamsterdam.com, needed a stable, scalable platform to serve a broad international audience (residents, expats, tourists, businesses) in six languages and to improve e-commerce for the I amsterdam City Card. In 2014 they selected Sitecore (running Sitecore 8.1) to provide a robust, user-friendly content-management and personalization foundation that could handle high global traffic and simplify day-to-day content operations.

Using Sitecore 8.1 (with Web Forms for Marketers, Email Campaign Manager and uCommerce) — implemented in partnership with Axendo — Sitecore delivered a stable, easy-to-manage solution that drove measurable gains: site traffic rose 54% (18+ million unique visitors in 2016), online City Card sales increased ~42–43%, canceled City Card transactions fell by 25% (from 95% to 70%), and e‑commerce/content-management time dropped 25–40%, freeing resources for A/B testing, personalization and partner engagement (≈30% click‑through), with the site rated 8/10 by users.
