The American Heart Association faced an outdated, decade-old content management system that hindered timely updates, mobile engagement, and personalized communications. To modernize its digital strategy and better leverage analytics for tailored outreach, the American Heart Association partnered with Sitecore (via implementation partner XCentium) to replace its legacy CMS and enable a more flexible, data-driven web presence.
Sitecore implemented Sitecore Experience Platform (XP) with Sitecore xAnalytics and Sitecore Experience Database (xDB) running on Microsoft Azure, plus modular templates and integrations (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics, Coveo, etc.). The Sitecore solution unified AHA’s digital channels, reduced IT burden through cloud hosting, enabled easy content sharing and mobile-optimized pages, and launched personalization capabilities that deliver targeted content (e.g., blood-pressure guidance, local events, donor impact), giving the organization a single, measurable channel for engagement and outreach.
