Trax provides computer-vision shelf analytics to major brands like Coca-Cola, Nestlé and Heineken, helping retailers track how products look and sell in real time. As customers outgrew manual audits and Trax’s legacy analytics—an inflexible in‑house tool and an overly complex white‑label product—users were struggling to get actionable insights and often exported data to Excel, creating a need for a scalable, user-friendly analytics experience.
Trax modernized its data strategy by remodelling data in Google BigQuery and adopting Sisense for BI, completing the redesign in about a month. Using Sisense’s live BigQuery connector and caching, Trax now handles large datasets (≈50M rows), cut infrastructure costs with pay‑as‑you‑go scaling, and standardized a reusable data model (≈70%) that reduces professional services work. The result: faster, self‑service dashboard creation, real‑time insights and greater customer empowerment.
