NEG Uses Sisense to Roll Out Multi-Database Bi Without a Data Warehouse

New England Geriatrics (NEG) is a Massachusetts-based provider of on-site behavioral healthcare for nursing home residents. As CIO Eric Pavlak moved the organization from paper to electronic records, NEG faced long data latency (a 30‑day lag from service to billing), siloed systems and a practice management tool that could not visualize or contextualize performance, making KPI tracking and timely decision‑making nearly impossible.

NEG implemented Sisense, using its Elasticube to pull together multiple clinical and financial data sources without building a separate data warehouse. The self‑service dashboards gave executives and program directors interactive, contextual views of performance, drove rapid adoption, revealed year‑over‑year trends and problem areas, and enabled faster, data‑driven decisions and greater organizational transparency.
