Interfolio, a provider of faculty management software used by over 300 higher education institutions, faced challenges unifying its internal data. With rapid growth and diverse data sources, its existing BI tools were not performant or scalable. The solution was a cloud data strategy using Sisense alongside Snowflake. Sisense provided the flexibility to prepare, query, and manage data, enabling both live and in-memory analytics. This implementation exponentially increased efficiency, allowing ad-hoc projects like analyzing application utilization during the shift to remote work to be completed in a week instead of a month. Sisense also empowered internal power users to design their own dashboards, fostering a data-driven culture across the company.
