A Sirion Case Study

How the Trust could save £20m over 5 years

University College London Hospitals faced fragmented, paper‑heavy contract management across a £110m supplier portfolio, with part‑time staff lacking time or specialist skills, unclear obligations and hard‑to‑find documents—creating risk of overpaying or under‑charging. To address this, the Trust ran a pilot using a contract lawyer working with Sirion and deployed the Sirion contract management tool on two complex contracts (IT services and private healthcare).

Sirion implemented a centralised, searchable contract repository, captured and assigned all obligations, began SLA monitoring and invoice validation, and introduced issue/action tracking within formal governance. As a result, UCLH uncovered £500,000 of previous under‑billing, generated £250,000 in annual savings from the two pilot contracts, and projects around £20m in savings over five years while improving supplier relationships and payment processes.
