Xyall achieves <0.1 mm tissue dissection accuracy with Sioux Technologies

The customer, Xyall, faced the challenge of tissue dissection being a labor-intensive and error-prone manual process. To help pathologists obtain more reliable molecular diagnostic test results, Xyall needed to automate this workflow. Sioux Technologies developed the Tissector TT, an affordable tabletop tissue dissection system for them.

Sioux implemented a solution by developing the entire system, utilizing state-of-the-art technology in image registration, robotics, and software. The result was the world’s most accurate and easy-to-use tissue dissection system, with an accuracy of less than 0.1 mm. This allows hospitals to shorten diagnosis times for cancers and guide personalized therapy. Sioux also produced the systems in volume following development.
