The customer needed a cost-effective high availability approach that would protect an IO-intensive SQL Server environment, avoid disruption to ongoing operations, and be implemented within a strict one-hour window.

UpSearch implemented Windows Server Failover Clustering with SIOS Technology’s DataKeeper Cluster Edition to create a two-node SANless cluster using the company’s existing SSD-equipped servers. SIOS Technology’s block-level replication kept the nodes synchronized in real time, delivering fast failover and failback without shared storage, while preserving performance and eliminating SAN cost and complexity.
