A Sintratec Case Study
Geberit Group, a European market leader in sanitary parts, needed to shorten development cycles while ensuring new products met strict requirements for quality, functionality, design, and ease of assembly. To support rapid prototyping in its laboratory, Geberit used Sintratec’s S1 SLS desktop 3D printer, along with materials such as flexible Sintratec TPE and durable PA12.
Using the Sintratec S1, Geberit was able to quickly print and test functional prototypes that closely matched real-world requirements, including a flexible sheathing for a valve connection angle in a confined-space installation. The parts could be immediately evaluated and assembled, helping the team validate design ideas faster and reduce time-to-market; Geberit also reports printing around 16,000 parts per year across multiple 3D printing technologies, with SLS now playing a major role in the prototyping lab.
