A Sintratec Case Study
3DDD GmbH is a young start-up developing a 3D printer for large components, while also offering 3D printing and engineering services. Its challenge was to rapidly create complex parts that could withstand high stress and temperature, and to validate designs quickly enough to avoid costly late-stage errors. To meet this need, 3DDD GmbH used the Sintratec S1 from Sintratec for selective laser sintering (SLS).
With the Sintratec S1, 3DDD GmbH could produce robust, temperature-resistant functional prototypes and test multiple design options much faster. The company reported that overnight prototype production improved development speed, reduced the risk and cost of late design changes, and enabled optimal component design in terms of space, material, and weight. Sintratec’s S1 also proved valuable for customer projects and even for some end-use parts thanks to its durability.
