A Sinterit Case Study
MunicHMotorsport, a student-led racing team from Munich, faced the challenge of designing and producing custom parts for their electric race car with a severely limited budget. Bridging the diverse requirements of their various engineering subgroups while avoiding the high cost of outsourcing or off-the-shelf components was a major difficulty.
By implementing Sinterit's Lisa PRO 3D printer and PA12 material, the team leveraged SLS technology to produce over 100 end-use parts. The solution from Sinterit provided the design flexibility to consolidate multiple components into single, complex parts, drastically reducing the total part count. This resulted in a car that was lighter, more reliable, and cheaper to manufacture, allowing the team to exceed traditional engineering limitations and increase their development efficiency.
