A Sinterit Case Study
Innoseal Europe B.V., a developer of tape-related packaging solutions, faced challenges with its prototyping and small-batch production. Their initial use of FDM 3D printing yielded parts of insufficient quality for functional testing, while outsourcing led to inconsistent lead times and intellectual property concerns. This hindered their innovation and involved high upfront costs for injection molds.
Sinterit provided a solution with its Lisa X SLS 3D printer and open-material ecosystem. This allowed Innoseal to produce high-quality, functional prototypes and small series in-house, primarily using PA11 CF. The implementation by Sinterit resulted in significant time savings of 3-5 days per design iteration, reduced rework on new molds, and the freedom to experiment with new ideas, ultimately accelerating their time-to-market and reducing risk.
