Aquila biolabs GmbH - Customer Case Study

Sinterit worked with aquila biolabs GmbH, a sensor technology developer for bioprocessing, to overcome a supply chain and production challenge. The company needed a flexible and cost-effective method to produce a wide variety of specialized sensor adapters and parts for its biotechnology equipment in low volumes, as traditional manufacturing methods were too expensive and inflexible for their needs.

Sinterit provided its Lisa PRO SLS 3D printer, enabling aquila biolabs to manufacture end-use parts, including complex internal structures and external housings, in-house. The solution allowed them to print up to 400 parts in a single run, drastically reducing production time and man-hours. This gave the company greater independence from external suppliers and allowed for efficient, on-demand production without the need for costly infrastructure changes.
