Ouachita Baptist University Sends Emergency Notification with InformaCast

Ouachita Baptist University, a private liberal arts school in Arkadelphia, AR with about 1,500 students (most living on campus), needed a reliable campus-wide communication and mass notification system after the Virginia Tech tragedy in 2007. The university wanted a simple solution that could quickly reach everyone during an emergency.

With Singlewire’s InformaCast, OBU IT developed the Ouachita Emergency Notification System—a custom, four-phase solution that rings all campus phones and sends alerts to speakers, text messages, and email.
