Capital Health’s Specialized Rehabilitation Hospital in the United Arab Emirates faced slow, multi-step Code Blue notifications that relied on wall phones, a switchboard operator and broad PA paging. That inefficient process risked delayed responses to cardiac arrests and disrupted patients and visitors, prompting leadership to find a faster, more targeted emergency communications solution.

Under the direction of the CEO, the hospital deployed InformaCast Fusion across 500 Cisco IP phones and its nurse calling system, enabling staff to trigger alerts from any Cisco phone and broadcast them to wireless handsets, mobile devices and the PA system. The new workflow delivers targeted, faster notifications, reduces unnecessary disturbance, improves response times for life‑threatening events and supports additional uses (like ad‑hoc staff messages), with plans to expand endpoints for even broader coverage.
