A SingleStore Case Study
Kurtosys, a digital experience platform for the financial services industry, needed a way to handle demanding transaction, analytics, and content workloads while meeting strict performance and security expectations. The company had been using SQL Server for transactions and Couchbase for analytics, but the split architecture created complexity and made it difficult to deliver fast ad hoc queries across structured and semi-structured data.
SingleStore helped Kurtosys consolidate its architecture first for analytics and then for transactions as well. By using SingleStore as the database of record, Kurtosys gained fast query performance, support for JSON data, and a fully distributed platform that serves thousands of concurrent users and hundreds of gigabytes of data, growing by several gigabytes per day. The result was a simpler, more efficient, and high-performance platform with faster response times and no need for CDC in the new environment.
