Harris Teeter wanted a stronger online presence and turned to Single Grain to increase its visibility in social media. As a grocery chain with thin margins and shoppers drawn from a small radius around each store, it needed a careful approach to gain attention without wasting ad spend.

Single Grain tested Facebook ad creatives, targeting segments, and placements to find the combinations that delivered the most visibility. The work also used behavioral targeting, geographic targeting, Lookalike Audiences, and oCPM bidding, and the results included 15,000 people driven into Harris Teeter stores during one campaign, a doubling of Facebook reach in 6 months, more than 25,000 coupon conversions during the holiday season, and a 400% increase in post engagement rate.
