Rhipe, the Cloud Channel Company, was facing degraded cloud service performance as network utilization rose across its Melbourne and Sydney offices—VoIP and video (Skype for Business) quality suffered, user confidence fell, and helpdesk calls spiked. Increasing bandwidth from 20 to 200 Mbps didn’t help and previous visibility/QoS options were too costly, so Rhipe turned to Sinefa for a simpler, cloud-based monitoring and control solution.

Rhipe deployed Sinefa probes to gain real-time and historical traffic visibility and implemented Sinefa traffic shaping to prioritize Skype for Business and other core apps while deprioritizing non‑core streaming. Within six months, Skype for Business use rose ~350% (from ~300 to over 1,000 calls/week), helpdesk complaints dropped to negligible levels, and Sinefa has since been rolled out to Malaysia and US offices.
