Telekom Deutschland send engagement levels soaring with personalized video messaging sustainability program

Telekom Deutschland, Germany’s leading telecom provider, wanted a better way to reach younger, cost-conscious customers with its “We Care” sustainability program and trade-in offers. Traditional SMS and email were not cutting through, so the company looked to Sinch and its Sinch for Marketing platform, using Rich SMS and personalized video messaging to drive more relevant engagement.

Sinch worked with Telekom Deutschland to create and deliver 1:1 personalized messages featuring each customer’s name, device, and tailored offer. The campaign achieved a 45% open and watch rate, and sales conversions were double those of standard SMS, with a 120% increase in conversion versus control and a 40% increase versus SMS.
