Orbiton launches a Ruby on Rails data-analysis platform in 6 months with Sinaptia

Sinaptia partnered with Orbiton, a Norwegian company specializing in unmanned aerial systems for industrial inspection and surveying. Orbiton faced challenges with delivering fragmented and disorganized data analyses to its clients and needed a unified platform to share projects and complex data visualizations efficiently.

Sinaptia developed a custom Ruby on Rails application named Unity, which provided Orbiton's clients with secure access to projects featuring 3D imagery, geolocated data, and integrated analysis tools. The solution included a specialized file uploader for remote areas with slow internet. As a result, Orbiton successfully launched the platform, which now serves over 50 clients, manages 200+ projects, and has handled more than 150,000 files, significantly improving its data delivery service.
