A SimX Case Study
Universidad Andrés Bello, a university in El Salvador, was seeking innovative methods to train its nursing staff and physicians to provide more practical experience than traditional simulation methods, which were both costly and limited. The university's partner, VR Latam, was tasked with finding a suitable solution and ultimately selected the SimX Virtual Reality Medical Simulation System (VRMSS) as the vendor to meet these educational and budgetary needs.
The solution implemented by SimX provided the university with a licensed marketplace of over 250 virtual patient encounters, allowing learners to practice procedures repeatedly in a safe environment. As a result, Universidad Andrés Bello created four VR labs to supplement lectures and traditional simulation. Faculty reported that SimX significantly promotes critical thinking and provides students with the closest experience to a real hospital service, making them feel more confident and secure when treating real patients.
