West Virginia Junior College expands its CMA program into 2 new states with SimTutor

West Virginia Junior College (WVJC) faced the challenge of expanding its online Clinical Medical Assistant program into new states while adhering to different clinical hour requirements and maintaining educational quality for its rural students. To achieve this growth, program director Rayan Matthews turned to the vendor SimTutor and its online simulation-based learning tool to provide realistic clinical training.

By implementing SimTutor's first-person simulation platform, WVJC was able to successfully expand its program into Ohio and Pennsylvania. The solution provided a realistic, interactive training experience that functioned reliably even with poor internet access. The results included improved student preparedness for in-person clinicals, high student satisfaction with zero complaints about the increased workload, and the program director crediting SimTutor as essential to the successful multi-state expansion.
