A SimScale Case Study
Paris HVAC, a young Paris-based HVAC specialist led by founder Benoît Mallet, needed to ensure safety standards in a laboratory room housing an exhaust cupboard. The challenge was to maintain a constant low negative pressure and avoid turbulence or backwash of hazardous fumes, and they turned to SimScale’s cloud-based CFD simulation platform to evaluate the airflow conditions.
Using SimScale, Paris HVAC tested three design iterations with 14 parallel simulations, running convective heat transfer and incompressible flow analyses to optimize ventilation performance. The project was completed in about 73 hours, helped validate the final design in real life, and delivered an estimated ROI of about €4,000 versus physical testing, while also reducing power costs and speeding up decision-making on future HVAC projects.
