A SimScale Case Study
iGas Technologies, an engineering company focused on electric car chargers for international markets, needed to solve an overheating problem in one of its products. To test a new cooling system before physical prototyping, the team turned to SimScale’s cloud-based simulation platform for heat transfer analysis, since they lacked enough in-house computing power and wanted a faster, more flexible workflow.
Using SimScale, iGas Technologies ran convective and conjugate heat transfer simulations on a cooling design with two heat sinks and two Peltier modules, supported by SimScale’s application engineers and public project examples. The team completed over 10 simulations, with convective runs averaging about 5 minutes and conjugate runs about 77 minutes, helping shorten development time, reduce design mistakes, and accelerate results from CAD import to validation.
