Forwiz System Co., Ltd Optimized Their Thermal Management Strategy With SimScale

Forwiz System Co., Ltd, a small IT services company with a recently launched thermal management division, needed a better way to tackle challenging cooling problems for high-end server computers, especially CPU cooling. As the designs involved many parameters and required careful optimization, the team turned to SimScale’s cloud CFD and conjugate heat transfer simulation tools to replace trial-and-error with numerical analysis.

Using SimScale, Forwiz System modeled the cooling assembly, optimized components such as heat pipes, connectors, heat sinks, fin spacing, and airflow, and validated the overall thermal performance of the assembled product. The results matched later physical experiments well, with more than 100 simulation runs completed and about 10–20 core hours needed per part, or 80–150 core hours for full assembly studies, helping Forwiz System present more realistic solutions to clients and expand business opportunities.
