EPRO ENGINEERING Uses Cloud-Based Simulation From SimScale for CO Removal

EPRO ENGINEERING, a Swiss building technology firm, needed to evaluate airflow and carbon monoxide buildup in a residential parking garage with 149 spaces. To ensure compliance with Swiss ventilation guidelines and protect occupants from harmful exhaust gases, the team turned to SimScale’s cloud-based CFD platform to simulate the garage environment and test ventilation concepts.

Using SimScale, EPRO ENGINEERING imported a BIM model from Revit, modeled CO emissions, and ran 10 ventilation variants in parallel with hex-dominant meshing and incompressible flow simulation. The results showed the garage could work with natural air supply shafts, reducing ventilation infrastructure investment costs by about 40% while saving energy, resources, coordination effort, and space.
