Axolot Solutions, a company working with water flow and treatment processes, needed a faster, more cost-effective way to understand turbulence and flow speed during product development. With SimScale, Axolot simulated flow distribution from a main pipe to two outlets, using automatic meshing and boundary layers to refine the design. They ran about 6 simulations averaging 39 minutes each, and reduced maximum turbulent kinetic energy by 89.7%, while also cutting physical prototypes and shortening development time.
