Case Study: Ati Motors develops a new autonomous cargo vehicle chassis with SimScale

A SimScale Case Study

Preview of the Ati Motors Case Study

Ati Motors uses SimScale to develop chassis design for their new and innovative autonomous cargo vehicle

Ati Motors, a startup developing an autonomous cargo vehicle, needed to create a new chassis while minimizing the time and cost of manual testing. To speed up design iteration and improve portability, the team used SimScale alongside Onshape to evaluate chassis concepts through CAE simulation.

SimScale provided a cloud-based FEA workflow with meshing support, allowing Ati Motors to run multiple simulations in parallel without hardware constraints. The team performed more than 80 simulations, with static analyses completing in about 15 to 20 minutes on a 64-core machine, helping them study torsional stiffness, stress, and deflection, refine mesh convergence, and gain confidence in the final chassis design and manufacturing process.
