Case Study: Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust gains trust-wide performance insight with SIMS Consolidated Reporting

Sharper insight drives improvement across a trust

Cambridge Meridian Academies Trust, a multi-academy trust with six secondary schools and five primaries, wanted a clearer, trust-wide view of performance to understand issues affecting progress, especially at Key Stage 3. Working with SIMS, the trust needed a way to consolidate data from all its schools and turn it into bespoke reporting that could reveal trends in attendance, behaviour and achievement.

SIMS implemented SIMS Consolidated Reporting, which exports school data into Microsoft Power BI so CMAT could build its own dashboards and drill down to individual student level. The result was faster, more transparent reporting, better conversations between leaders and trustees, and significant time savings by eliminating hours of manual spreadsheet work. SIMS also enabled cross-school benchmarking and, because the reporting tools are provided free of charge, avoided the need for expensive third-party software.
