Case Study: Moffitt Cancer Center achieves 90% adoption and a unified digital employee experience with Simpplr

A Simpplr Case Study

Preview of the Moffitt Cancer Center Case Study

How 90% adoption in digital employee experience drove and aligned Moffitt Cancer Center’s growth initiative

Moffitt Cancer Center, a Tampa-based National Cancer Institute–designated comprehensive cancer center, faced difficulty aligning its growing, distributed workforce—physicians, nurses, researchers and support staff—around organizational priorities because its archaic intranet fragmented communications. To create a single source of truth and modernize digital employee experience, Moffitt selected Simpplr’s modern intranet platform to replace its outdated SharePoint instance and support its growth initiative.

Simpplr delivered MoffittNet, a user-friendly, governed intranet with targeted launch campaigns, newsletter-driven engagement and analytics to guide rollout and content strategy; the team reduced sites from 400 to 100 and prioritized nursing and research groups. The results were measurable: adoption rose from 71% at soft launch to 90% overall, 73% of the workforce viewed MoffittNet content, users averaged 15 views across 100 sites, and peak events (Hospital Week) hit 94% adoption with 26 average views and 11,000 site views—improving engagement, crisis communications, training access and cultural connection.
