Caredig Housing, a social housing provider in Wales, faced a significant challenge in identifying and engaging qualified construction suppliers to decarbonize its housing stock. Suppliers were difficult to find through traditional methods and reluctant to participate in complex public sector procurement processes. The vendor, Simply Do, used its platform and a challenge-led approach to help address this shortage.

Simply Do implemented an end-to-end process that began with a crafted challenge webpage for suppliers to submit Expressions of Interest. This approach successfully engaged 15 potential suppliers, from which Caredig shortlisted 7 and ultimately selected a highly-qualified partner. The solution delivered a significant reduction in the time and effort required for Caredig to find qualified suppliers and received positive feedback for its simplicity and fairness.
