Croydon Voluntary Action - Customer Case Study

Croydon Voluntary Action funded the Connect Well Croydon project, delivered by Volunteer Centre Croydon, to tackle the gap in support for people who aren’t suitable for volunteering or who need signposting to wider local services. To meet this challenge they partnered with Simply Connect Solutions and adopted the Simply Connect social prescribing service directory so staff and trained volunteers could quickly identify needs and find appropriate community resources.

Simply Connect Solutions provided its social prescribing directory and support for a light‑touch delivery model—staff and volunteers identify individuals, assess needs, search the directory, and signpost local services. The Simply Connect Solutions solution broadened referral routes (volunteers, VCSE organisations, adult social care, youth and neighbourhood teams, police), increased awareness and engagement with local community activities, and encouraged people to access services independently, improving connections to support across Croydon.
